Adventurers in Art; Fear
is my Teacher
Travel enables me to witness people expressing our common desire for
peace, compassion, self fulfillment, self expression, and
love. It stretches my boundaries, increasing awareness by allowing me to face fears. By studying world religions, philosophies and teachings, I ask:
‘How
does the world see God? How can paintings be
prayers or meditations?’ Authentic, loving communities around the globe welcome me as I explore, looking for connection to the Divine in all cultures. With a rich life full of powerful, unusual experiences, my art can emerges with divine grace and ease. (More below)...
Travel and Art
Small Town to World View
I grew up on the Mason Dixon line slalom skiing around water moccasins, dancing with fireflies, climbing trees and tipping cows in the Missouri boot heel. Since then I've created some crazy, fulfilling, exciting and quickening experiences...
- Terrified
of Sharks, my first open water SCUBA dive was Shark
Alley, Turks and Caicos; The Wall!
- A former actress, performing at the Grand
Ole Opry was a life dream during a national theatre tour of Jekyl and
Hyde.
- Learning to dance Flamenco in Seville, Spain and camping on the beach in Costa del Sol after motorcycling across
the countryside educated me about cultural differences and mental, culutural, 'Choice!'
- The love of my life, Doc Holiday (a pit bull/German shorthair pointer mutt) adopted me after training him and his other pit bull friends in a New Jersey PAWS no-kill
shelter.
- Burning
Man at Black Rock City is the most profound, creative experience. Come join me for the adventure of a lifetime!
- Michael
Howard (Julliard & Yale) teaches the craft of acting and meditation). A terrible actress, I booked roles in musicals, classicals, terrible films, a couple of good ones, and commercials.
- One of the best days of my life? Dancing on stage with the band Little
Feat in Malibu, Topanga Canyon, oh, then there was that Kool
Moe Dee Video in the 80's. Yikes...
